Jeff Rector – Festival Executive • Award-winning Writer • Director • Producer
Jeff Rector is the President, Festival Director, and Founder of the Artificial Intelligence Media Festival (AIMF)—the first festival of its kind in Los Angeles with a primary focus on film, music, and art. An award-winning writer, director, producer, digital artist, working actor, and best-selling author, Jeff is also a proud Emmy Award voting member of the Television Academy in both the Producers and Performers peer groups. Over the course of his career, he has appeared in more than 150 films and television shows.
With more than 15 years of experience running film festivals, Jeff has played a key role in elevating the independent film community. In 2012, he assumed leadership of the Burbank International Film Festival, building it into a world-class event over the span of a decade. A Tarzana native, Jeff was invited in 2022 to lead the Tarzana International Film Festival (TZIFF) as President and Festival Director, a role he continues with great pride.
Always at the forefront of innovation, Jeff launched AIMF (Artificial Intelligence Media Festival), partnering with TZIFF in 2025, serving as its Artistic Director. Dedicated to showcasing cutting-edge technology across film, music, and art, AIMF celebrates the future of creative storytelling and the fusion of technology with imagination.
As both a creator and a leader, Jeff continues to push the boundaries of storytelling through digital tools and emerging technologies—while inspiring artists, audiences, and the next generation of filmmakers alike.
